Justice Sheahan

Terry Sheahan was born in 1947, has been a Judge of the Land & Environment Court of NSW since 1997, and was President of the Workers Compensation Commission 2001-2007. He qualified as a Solicitor in 1970.

He was a State Member of Parliament 1973-1988, and a Cabinet Minister 1980-1988.

Post-politics he returned to the law, and practised extensively as a Mediator, and served as State President of his Party (the ALP) 1989-1997.

He was made an Officer in the Order of Australia in January 2002 for service to the Law (especially ADR), to the Parliament, and to the Community, through organisations concerned with health (especially diabetes groups), care of the aged, human rights, and the environment.

He is married with 8 children and 2 stepsons.
