Stu Webb

Stu Webb has been in the private practice of law since 1964. For the past 26 years he has been a family law practitioner, and since 1990 he has practiced collaborative family law exclusively. Stu is a founder of the Collaborative Law concept.

Stu served in the US Navy for three years during the Korean War and, as a registered pharmacist (Univ. of Wisconsin), owned and operated a small drug store in Rolfe, Iowa for 5 years. before going to law school, where he was Editor in Chief of the Iowa Law Review and graduated first in his class.

Stu and his wife Martha have been married for 26 years. He has 3 grown children and five grandchildren by a previous marriage.

Stu has authored and published the booklet "The Serenity Space" and published an article in the Hennepin Lawyer "Collaborative Law--A Conversation: Why Aren't those Divorce Lawyers Going to Court?" He has co-authored with Ron Ousky the recent book "The Collaborative Way to Divorce".

He has led and co-led seminars around the country and Canada on Collaborative Law, including San Francisco, San Rafael, Santa Rosa, Santa Cruz, and Ventura, California; Eugene, Oregon; Columbus, Ohio; Atlanta, Georgia; Miami, Florida; Houston, Denton and Dallas, Texas; Washington D.C., Boston, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, and Toronto, Canada, Pennsyhlvania, Kansas City, St. Louis, Scottsdale, Arizona and Alexandria, Louisiana. He presented on Collaborative Law in London, Vienna and Sydney and Canberra Australia.

Stu has also co-led Collaborative Divorce seminars.

Stu is a practicing Buddhist. His avocations are jazz, backpacking and reading.
